Skewer Carpet 2

Skewer Carpet 2 is a site specific installation by WE MAKE CARPETS for ISSEY MIYAKE store in Milan

Tsugi Woodworks made the wooden structure that carries and manipulates the folds and creases in the skewer carpet.
No glue, no screws. Simply wood and wooden joints.

For the structure we used Tuliptree wood (Liriodendron tulipifera)

The carpet by WE MAKE CARPETS is made out 60.000 bamboo skewers, painted and sticked in foam.
