(Spalted) Whitebeam Table

Made from the rare Whitebeam wood, a cousin of the more commonly known Rowan wood.
The batch used for this table is even rarer: it's adorned by funges (spalted), hence the fantastic colour variation and the deep black inky lines.

Gifted to me in 2010 I used it to make the very first Tsugi table, as my graduation project at the school for wood- and furnituremaking, Amsterdam.

As the years went by the Tsugi tables developed further, with number two and three the tables got butterflies to connect the boards together, two more pegs for each skirt connecting to the leg and the little mallet, hidden under the table.
(Spalted) Whitebeam table is remade in 2022 to catch up with it's own development
